CITY COLLEGE
The Paper, a student publication founded in the 1970s following a student-led takeover on campus. Ever since, The Paper has carried its tradition by being the face of the students, shining a light on student voices and overall, keeping the legacy alive.
Over the years, we have established Executive Boards to enhance all aspects and operations of our student publication, ensuring the organization runs smoothly and efficiently. Our team includes a President, a Vice President/Editor-in-Chief, a Treasurer, and a Secretary or Project Manager.

And with the anticipated new academic year approaching, we aim to foster a new structure for our marketing efforts, enhancing our journalism and editing dynamics. We plan to implement innovative strategies to increase our reach, engage more readers, and provide even more compelling content.
On the journalism end, we will focus on in-depth reporting, investigative journalism, and feature stories that resonate with our audience. Our goal is to cover a diverse range of topics, from campus news to global issues, ensuring that our content is both informative and engaging for everyone.
For the editing team, we will continue to enhance editors’ skills in fact-checking, web editing, and copyediting. We aim to maintain the highest standards of accuracy and clarity in our articles, while also incorporating more visual and interactive elements to enrich the reader experience.
Together, we know that these efforts will not only improve the quality of our publication but also strengthen our connection with the community, making ‘The Paper at CCNY’ a trusted and influential voice on campus, and keeping our legacy alive.
We cannot wait to begin this new journey and please be on the lookout for an upcoming article in a few short weeks!
