Dear Readers,
Welcome to The Paper’s Spring 2026 chapter. Last semester, we delivered important and diverse news to our CCNY community. We were lucky to recruit a team of talented journalists, designers, and photographers that made our publication shine. We are grateful to them and to you, Readers, for making it all possible.
For Spring 2026, our mission is our top priority. Being a beacon of truth for the unheard comes with its own challenges, especially in the current political climate, but our board and staff members are dedicated to giving a voice to the voiceless and to highlighting the stories that truly matter. We will continue to report on the difficult topics surrounding our campus, city, country, and world, all in an effort to contribute whatever we can to building a better society.
We also want to be a beacon of hope, so you will find uplifting news here as well. Among all the chaos and horrors of this world, there are also wonderful things happening within our communities, and we want to share those stories with you. The Paper’s website will be a safe place to find the truth, however ugly or beautiful it might be.
Our goal remains: We will always provide quality news to our campus community. Please join us for yet another semester. May you continue to support student journalism and its historical role in social justice.
On behalf of our entire team, please find our Fall 2025 issue at the end of this letter. We hope you enjoy it.
With gratitude,
Roxanna Cardenas Colmenares
